Getting Nervous

Getting Nervous When Touch Typing

Oh, the Boss is Coming, the trainer is looking at me, or even a colleague observes my typing speed. In the riskiest case, the zombie is coming. I need to type fast and accurately at any cost.

In many situations, such as listed above, a touch typist gets nervous because of the presence of a boss, manager, coworker, etc.

When touch typing, and meanwhile, someone like a director, supervisor, or even collaborator comes in, you will get puzzled, and ultimately you will not perform better, or in some cases, it can be termed as the worst performance of the day.

You will care too much not to commit mistakes and type as well as possible but believe me, you will not be able to type with your normal speed and accuracy. Do not worry; it is an everyday marvel, and unluckily, it can’t be completely taken out. Anyhow, one can overcome this fear by keeping up the following tips.

Do Not Get Nervous

Don’t get nervous that you will perform poorly. Give yourself the incentive that you can type well in front of anyone. Don’t panic; relax, start typing, and gradually increase your typing speed.

Type Infront of People

When someone surrounds you, type as much as possible. Don’t fear while working in the presence of a boss, executive, or co-worker. They are also human beings like you, except for other positions. To err is human; It is normal if you make typos or can’t reach a certain accuracy while working beside your boss, manager, or workfellow.

Never Go for Over Performance

Don’t try to over-perform. Just stick with your average speed and accuracy. Yes, you can show your talent when you are a typing guru or very expert to do so.

Master the Keyboard
